About the course: Discuss the introduction to the shotgun as a defensive firearm. Discuss and demonstrate modifications, patterning, loading and shoot techniques of the shotgun for defensive purposes. There will be failure to fire, transitions, awkward shooting positions and multiple threat skill drills. Recommend completing the Defensive Pistolcraft course or one like it before attending this class.
Required Equipment: Hearing and eye protection. Serviceable shotgun, 150 birdshot, 10 buckshot rounds and 5 slugs for the shotgun. 50 rounds of handgun training ammo, a serviceable handgun with two magazines/speed loaders and pouches to hold magazines/ speed loaders on the body.
